Women in Nepal along with other women all over the world have been facing many social, economic, legal, and religious restrictions. But coming till now dramatic changes have happened in the role, ambition, and attitude of women. Many women have realized their potential, power and worth and they have been successful to prove to the world they are as capable as any other.women have been able to make their own identity of their own in the modern society from their traditional role of mothers, reproducers and wives only.
Even though it’s a challenge to work both inside and outside the home but modern women have faced and tackled this challenge very boldly and wisely and they have proved that they are second to one, whether it is at home, or at their workplace. Whether in the industrial sector or IT, politics, administration, armed force or in civil services, wherever they are, they have proved what they are. Women are rising gradually and they are now aware of their rights but a large number of women are still victims of many evil social customs and traditions, which are ingrained in the history, culture, and laws of the patriarchal the society. Even though many women have proved the world and been successful to show the women power but still we need to fight for our rights and security. Most crimes are still happening against women; rape, acid attack, early child marriage, molestation, polygamy, dowry-deaths, etc. Even though the world is progressing day by days, crimes against women are also increasing every day. Because of that we still can not say, women have got all the freedom to utilize their rights. Hopefully, a day will come we will get our rights what we deserve; and we are not giving up! The fight is still on!!!!towards equality! Towards humanity!!!
